Plutarch's advice for when we think of something painful is not to dwell on it - especially when there's nothing we can do. He equated it to staring directly into the sun - we can do that, but it's not good for us, and it hurts. I try to remember that sometimes when my mind loops back on painful thoughts, not to dwell and stare at them and torture myself. This is part of a small series of works using datamoshed mp4 textures, usually taking custom 3d videos and passing them through the mosh to get colorful dragged out squares, then sorting those afterwards. In this one, it's more literal than my usual work - there's at least a shape you can imagine as a sun, and colorful streaks pulling your eye towards it and away from it at the same time.
